Pastor Stanley Kabanda who Pastor’s at Jubilee Revival Assembly, continued to preach to the worshipers in the course of the week.
By this theme :
To activate the power that resides in every believer of Jesus Christ and start living victorious lives !
Basing on the scripture in Ephesians 1:18-20
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.”
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened” Not only wished their “hearts” to be right, but he wished their “understanding” to be right also.
He addressed that God grant our hearts that they may never be insensitive to such a message. How can this earth which is so much with all of us, but which like ourselves is designed to perish, and which is unable to supply the deep needs of our souls - how can this earth come to be everything to men, and the hereafter nothing ? He prayed that God help people to tune their hearts to hear the Christ speaking across centuries of time to every soul, " ……the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”……
The only thing that God delights in, is his people and wants us to activate the power in us in order to use it and live it every day to do miracles.
What should then a Christian do to activate the unmeasurable power of God imparted in him/her ? From that he emphasized the essentials in the following main points :
1. Repentance : Commenting on the point, Pastor Kabanda said “One may perform well in any activity in a certain Church, but if they are not repentant, they will not benefit anything.” Example shared is found in Psalm 51:1-11, where King David was always quick to repent of any of his sins.
2. Praying : “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with prayers requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18. The Pastor called upon Christians to “pray for one self, as there are some mountains that are moved by one’s own prayers. “To pray without ceasing”.
3. The word of God : “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces ?” Jeremiah 23:29. Christians are reminded to position the Word of God at the forefront, so that they get to know Him more and more. “The more you read the Bible, the more transformed you become” uttered Pastor Kabanda.
