Praying with firm faith

12 novembre 2019

During the fourth week of forty days of prayer and fasting, Pastor Annet Rwabikinga had been preaching about praying with strong faith.

Referring to the Scripture read in Mark 11:23-24 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Pastor Annet Rwabikinga commented that the mountains spoken here stand for problems faced by believers and she compared praying without faith as having a gun without bullets.

What’s faith then ?
Hebrews 11:1-3 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
“Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17
We receive Jesus Christ though faith, however this faith grows through : praying, studying the Bible, Worshipping God, Sanctification, Fellowship, fasting, etc. the contrary to this, it is a faith which doesn’t work.
“Faith becomes stronger, the more a believer gets closer to God.” Added Pastor Annet Rwabikinga.

Scriptures read :
Mark 11:23-24, Hebrews 10:38, Hebrews 11:1-3,4, 6,7, 11, 24, 29, Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 10:17.
